A ten-time cancer survivor and lanyngectomee, Terrie Hall is equal parts role model and cautionary tale. She's a victim of tobacco, and a powerful advocate against it. But most of the time, she's just Terrie, a sweet, big-hearted woman from North Carolina.

In addition to traveling her home state (as well as Utah) talking to kids about the dangers and consequences of tobacco, for which she received North Carolina's Distinguished Service Award, Terrie is also involved in many other preventative health and advocacy causes. She is a board member for the International Association of Laryngectomees, a six-year Team Captain for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, President of the Western Piedmont Speak Easy Club of Winston-Salem, NC, an active member of SAVE (Survivors and Victims of Tobacco Empowerment), and much, much more. Oh, and she loves to bowl, read romance novels, and people watch (don't we all).

Terrie's story is one of redemption, hardship, and endurance. As she would put it, "You always think it will happen to someone else. I'm the someone else."
